Phil Seeva

Putting communication at the heart of planning

Phil Seeva has served as a unitary councillor for nine years, which was proceeded by a career in the communications industry. For four years Phil chaired Cornwall’s Strategic Planning Committee and oversaw a plethora of applications from large scale developments and holiday parks right through to contentious solar farm applications.

His 25 year career in the PR industry has stood him good stead and as a result can handle tricky local issues with residents as well social and traditional media. Phil’s core skills lie in being able to talk to people effectively, finding compromises and delivering against expectations.

Like Nick, Phil is also a skilled campaigner and a strong public speaker. His ability to deliver core messages with a persuasive manner sets him aside as being a perfect public speaker at parish councils, resident meetings and planning committees.

Nick Craker

Bringing communities and developers together

Nick Craker has served as a unitary councillor for eight years, earning a reputation for his strong community focus and deep understanding of the planning system. He was a member of Cornwall Council’s East Planning Committee for eight years and was chair for four of those and he also served on the Strategic Planning Committee. He has been at the heart of some key development decisions across Cornwall.

Nick is also an active member of his local town council and over the years, has developed close working relationships with developers building a clear understanding of what meaningful community engagement looks like.

Nick is a skilled campaigner, delivering results through a combination of persuasive public speaking, social media, and grassroots engagement. Whether it’s speaking at planning committees, addressing parish councils, or building digital campaigns that resonate with the public, Nick brings energy, clarity, and credibility.

Passionate about place-making, Nick believes that development doesn’t have to mean division, with the right approach, it can strengthen communities.
